LEATHERMAN 25-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Your multitool will be sent to the Leatherman repair center in Germany.

After careful inspection of what’s actually wrong with your multi-tool, they will decide if it just needs an adjustment or maintenance or if a part needs to be replaced. If they can’t just repair it quickly, they will replace it. If they have the same model available then you’ll get a new one or in some cases a refurbished one.

EXCEPTIONS This warranty covers only the original/primary owner and does not cover abuse, alteration, theft, loss, or unauthorized and/or unreasonable use of your Leatherman product. This warranty does not cover sheaths, accessories, imprinting, color finishes, cleaning, or sharpening.

What if my model is old and discontinued?

The difficulty comes when your model has been discontinued and they don’t have any old stock. Then they will replace it with a multi-tool of the same value. The “same value” is not the same multi-tool or the same tools so you’re unlikely to get a multi-tool that does exactly the same as the one you sent in.

Sentimental Value cannot be replaced.

Please take a moment and think carefully if you want it replaced. Perhaps you have a multi-tool that has sentimental value to you – say it was your first multi-tool and your Dad gave it to you. You have the option if Leatherman can’t repair your multi-tool, that they WON’T replace it with another one. They will just send your same un-repaired multi-tool back to you.

How long does the Leatherman warranty take, how much does it cost?

The actual time varies but usually, it takes 4-8 weeks. You are only charged forwarding costs and handling fees total 15 euro (VAT included).
